Adults

The adult ministry exists to draw us together as Kingdom builders in our lives, our homes, our jobs, our community, and our church. We strive to be continually growing in our relationship with Christ through prayer, studying His word, fellowship and service.

SMALL GROUPS

These are just a few of the different small group opportunities that we have to offer at Shalom.

Bookclub
A small group of moms meet in the summer for a book club.  During the school year we have a group of women that meet on the last Tuesday of the month, discussing a different book monthly.

Bible Study
Bible studies are offered at various times throughout the year. The topics vary from class to class.  These studies are open to men and women of all ages and backgrounds. Additionally, attendees are encouraged to participate in small group Bible studies that meet in homes on a more regular basis throughout the school year. To get connected to a Bible Study, contact Sarah.

Coffee Break
Coffee Break is a Bible study for women of all ages that meets on Tuesday mornings.  All women of the church are invited to join and bring a friend!  Together let us discover God’s faithfulness and grace through this ministry. Children also will be involved with a Bible story, craft, and snack time with other children their age.

FELLOWSHIP EVENTS
FELLOWSHIP EVENTS

Throughout the year we offer an assortment of family and fellowship events.  A lot of these events revolve around a meal, but a lot of them are just plain fun!  Checkout some of the things the members of Shalom are enjoying.

Fellowship Potluck
Join us once a month for a Fellowship potluck.  Bring a dish to pass and enjoy time to fellowship with other believers.  Potlucks begin approximately at 10:45am following the morning service

Fall Kick-Off Picnic
At the beginning of the school year we gather in a nearby park for a potluck meal.  Weather permitting, we even move our worship service outside.  It’s a wonderful way to end the summer and kick-off the beginning of a new year.

Senior Socials
These socials are a time to gather to honor our members who are 75 and older. They are primarily a time for fellowship and a chance to visit, however we have also enjoyed hymn sings, fellowship meals and even some games.

Men’s & Women’s Events
Throughout the year we host specific fellowship events that are geared specifically towards men or women. These events are always fun in nature and are open to adults of all ages.

Trunk or Treat
In late October we invite the community to join us by trick or treating through trunks in our parking lot.  We provide food, games and other activities.

Game Nights
Whether it’s church-wide Bingo, Family Feud, Bunco or yard games in the summer.  We enjoy gathering together as a family for some friendly competition.
